Scott Rempe: Speaker and Coach for Artists and Creatives -
Scott spent over thirty years in the Direct Marketing industry. During his career, he was able to utilize his graphic communications background and work in both Corporate America and with small businesses (including advertising agencies and non-profits). Over time, he noticed a similar theme when working with artists and creatives. While they were very talented, and subject matter experts in their creative fields, many of them had never been educated on the business side of being an artist. That gap led Scott to provide an avenue for learning to this community.
He does this through "Lunch and Learn's", in person workshops, and online webinars. Topics include: Understanding Business for Artists and Creatives, Sales and Marketing, Pricing Strategies, Networking, and Social Media. These speaking engagements partner Scott with art agencies, arts councils, one-on-one coaching, and keynote addresses.
Clients include: The Arts Council of Greater Greensboro, Perquimans Arts Council, The National Cartoonists Society, Artists Thrive!, Chadwick Consulting, and Triangle Art Works,

His clients say that his approach to illustration projects is unique. That is most likely because he has an extensive sales and marketing background and he brings that BUSINESS MINDSET into client conversations. His clients tell him that the following are important to them:
- Listen to what they are requesting, but provide additional ideas or illustrations using humor. Give clients an option that they may like even more.
- Communicate. Be responsive!
- Hit agreed upon DEADLINES. Most artists are described as "aloof" and they don't think missing deadlines is a big deal. It is a big deal,..and Scott does not miss deadlines.
- Establish and meet agreed upon budgets. Inform clients about any additional costs that are over an above the contracted agreement.
