Artist's statement
Scott Rempe is freelance illustrator and I lives in Kernersville, NC. He focuses on humorous artwork, corporate illustration projects, children's books, beer label art and requested commissions.
His clients say that his approach to illustration projects is unique. That is most likely because he has an extensive sales and marketing background and I brings that BUSINESS MINDSET into client conversations. His clients tell him that the following are important to them:
If this approach to working with an illustrator sounds like something you have been missing with your current illustrators, then please reach out to Scott at [email protected] or call him on his cell phone (336) 408-6842.
Drawing allows Scott to combine his sense of humor with what eventually comes out on the page (or digital screen). More often than not, he has a baseball (Dodgers), hockey (Carolina Hurricanes) or college football (Clemson) game going on in the background. He is also a volunteer artist for artsforlifenc.org at Brenner's Children's Hospital (Winston Salem, NC) on the childhood cancer floor. This experience and the courage he witnesses during his visits with patients and families is very impactful.
Scott is a member of the National Cartoonists Society, and the International Forum of Visual Practitioners (visual graphic recording/illustrating of meeting content for corporations and businesses). More of his work can be viewed on Instagram at Scooterink.

- Listen to what they are requesting, but provide additional ideas or illustrations using humor. Give clients an option that they may like even more.
- Communicate. Be responsive!
- Hit agreed upon DEADLINES. Most artists are described as "aloof" and they don't think missing deadlines is a big deal. It is a big deal,..and Scott does not miss deadlines.
- Establish and meet agreed upon budgets. Inform clients about any additional costs that are over an above the contracted agreement.
